Mind Blowing Gaming Websites

Hey all, I just got done looking through a recent post on smashingmagazine about well designed gaming websites. I have always loved looking at these sites due to the amazing detail on everything. The illustrators and artists provide mind blowing assets that make many of these designs ( I imagine ) just fall into place.
As a former WoW player, Diablo 1 & 2 Champion, and a Starcraft Siege Tank Specialist, I couldn’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for Diablo III, Starcraft II, and Wrath of the Lich King.

Oh my lord, the footer of that Starcraft site is AMAZING. Would never ever ever have thought to do that but I am now incredibly intrigued and thinking of ways to use that and may have just showed it to everyone in the room with me currently. It fills me with glee.

This is my favorite video game website. Although I am a huge Halo nerd, this was still a brilliant idea to promote Halo 3.

I’d also like to add in that not only is the usage of PNG images more clever nowadays on game websites but the usage of flash is becoming more dominate to add in additional depth and richness for people who hasn’t played a certain game series before.
