Hello xpxlntion-ers, I wanted to share with you one of the main ways I find inspiration. Being a designer is nothing without inspiration. Now there is a line between inspiration and copying, and I will have you know I do not partake in this tom-foolery (no connection to tom o toolery). So what is the trick to continuous inspiration…screenshots. I keep a running folder where I take screenshots of everything I find interesting. Whether it is a small corner treatment, logo, or bug, to me it is all worth keeping around. Those days where it is super hard to get the creative juices flowing, I just take a look through my screenshot folder. I encourage all to partake in this simple but gratifying means of inspiration.

Hot Keys (on a mac)

Ctrl+Shift+3 = screenshot of everything on screen.
Ctrl+Shift+4 = You can select anywhere to take a screenshot.
Ctrl+Shift+4 release then press spacebar = allows you to take a picture of a window.
